My last wedding in Utah was one that had been “on the books” for a mere month before COVID-19 hit. I have to acknowledge I was terrified the wedding was going to be postponed. As many brides and grooms were, but Marisa and Chris were committed to making their day work.
Chris and Marisa are family oriented mountain people. During the warmer days of the year in Utah, they spend as much time as they can camping and enjoying nature. It was only appropriate their wedding took place against a backdrop of the Uinta Mountains surrounded by a forest and bright sunlight. They took their details straight to the Earth; Marisa was practically barefoot as she walked down the isle grounding their marriage with the Earth. It was beautiful to photograph.
Chris has become an amazing father to Shia, Marisa’s son. I have no doubt this already gentle hearted young man will see nothing, but healthy affection in his home. Their relationship has set the standard for this little guy’s future.
Here is a peek at their wedding.
